Grand Valley State University - LipDub 2010
Grand Valley State University's lip dub is one of the best we've seen ever. It's got 29000 views in a single day beating all records. Do not miss this lip dub, it's awesome.
At last one more "First Class" lip dub, most of Lip dubs are good but this one is great. It has a place at youtube and we have already set its soundtrack as a ringtone in our mobile phones.
It seems they had it all planned out, even people who pass through screen sides. Camera moves so fast but without losing its stability, we do not know how they did.
We loves everything. Lip dub begins like a film with an actor and a piano on the street, from this moment everything seems casual but it has been widely design.
We would like to emphasize: the scuba diver in the water fountain, the girl singing with the signs language, the gospel choir, umbrellas under the bridge with paper rain , the rock band, and the finale, making the logo with umbrellas while a canoe crosses the scene. They blew the other college lipdubs out of the water.
We could think James Cameron has directed it but in fact Greg Kort and Chris Coleman did. We can't forget the great song "Come Sail Away" by Styx.
Guys, you did it great, congrats. You are the best!

Here is a video where we can see how the Lip Dub was made and the small car where the steady was mounted on.

Lipdub - the Hebrew University of Jerusalem
Students, staff and lecturers at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem chose a unique way to kick off the new academic year with a 'lip-dub' of the Queen song 'Somebody to Love' from the hit-series 'Glee'. Good job guys but not brilliant
People from Hebrew University of Jerusalem have made a good job.
Technically, the stability and image quality are very good, lighting is awesome and it's filmed in a single shot, it is how Hebrew University students kicked off the start of the school year.
We like the song, glee version is great, main characters move as if they were dancing with a great synchronization. Freddy Mercury is the most surprising thing of the whole video.
The negative part is, always there is one, lip dub has not much imagination, needs more colored clothes or disguises and it doesn't have anything special.
This lip dub is good but far from being a masterpiece.(6 over 10)

LIPDUB IUT NICE
This Lipdub was filmed by students of the Institut Universitaire de Technologie (IUT) of the French Riviera (Nice). We think it is boring and too long. We don't like it.
Sorry, we like nothing, even though the camera has a good stability but bad lighting, it seems all improvised people running in front of the camera moving theirs arms, but without any sense. It has no costumes, no umbrellas, no acrobatics, no anything at all ...
If you want to do a good lipdub you'll have to prepare it a little bit more. Good luck next time.
ABOUT IUT NICE

The WGN-TV LipDub Competition
Now that the students in the Chicago area are back in school WGN-TV has created a fun contest that you will want to enter.
You’ve seen all the LipDub videos on SVN-TV and YouTube, now it’s your turn to share the spotlight.
If you are a school in the Greater Chicago-land area, (Cook, Dupage, Lake, McHenry, DeKalb, Kane, Kendal, Will, Grundy, and in Indiana: lake Porter, Newton or Jasper counties) create your own LipDub to win a WGN Morning News broadcast from your school. Any High School or College is eligible to enter.
Rules are simple:
You must get approval for the song and project from your school administration;
LipDub must be one continuous take;
Must be taped in the school or on school grounds;
LipSync to any song as approved by the school;
Use as many students from your school as you can. Faculty and administrators are allowed to appear in the video; and
HAVE FUN!
Be creative: We have all seen the vids of walking through the halls and up and down stairs. Come up with something that will dazzle the judges and get us up and movin around the office. Your only editing techniques allowed in a LipDub are adding the final soundtrack, speeding up or slowing down the video, blurring and color correction to color or black and white.
Make sure you put in an opening and credit roll at the end. No other video graphics are allowed within the continuous take.
Live action? Of course! That’s what makes the LipDub so fun and brings the school together in this fun project. No pre-recorded material should be used.
All entries will also be included in the upcoming SVN LipDub competition to be held later this year. So get busy! It’s a big project and will bring LOTS of visibility to your TV Production class or department and get many of your students involved during the taping.
All the info for the WGN contest can be found at http://www.wgntv.com/lipdub but the deadline is October 31st, 2010, and remember: This is a Chicago area competition only.
We would gladly reciprocate after our deadline to publicize on our Lip Dub page any national contest you are having.

Lipdub - "MOVEDUB" Collège Regina Assumpta Montréal, 2010
As some of you remember, few months ago we presented the Olivarius Aparthotels "Airdub". Now, from Montreal, Regina Assumpta College presents us a new way they have called "Movedub" actually is a single shot, like a lip dub, but with very elaborate choreography like a flash mob, it seems us quite cool and therefore we present it here.
The principle of MOVEDUB is based on a single shot and the general lip dub concept. MoveDub voice, or lip dubbing, is replaced by dance.
Technically is perfect with a high camera's stability a good lighting and a fantastic choreography with good transitions. We love it!
The music is a fusion so each situation creates a unique atmosphere.
This is not a lip dub! But we enjoy it a lot. Congrats!

NJIT - LipDub - You Can't Stop the Beat - Hairspray
Here we are again with a NJIT students' lip dub video around the campus and some buildings of NJIT. The song used, You Can't Stop the Beat, is from the musical Hairspray. They have broke 3500 views at youtube in 48 hours.
Congrats! We think the NJIT community was needing of something like this. We are sure no other NJIT event can match this Lip Dub's number of participants.
Technically it has not very good Lens focus, poor Lighting and quite bad Lip sync, but don't worry guys, everything else it's OK. It has some very creative ideas but they sink down between the crowd.
The only hope we have is you enjoyed doing it as much as we think.

Best and worst lip dub - September 2010
We want to propose you best September's lip dub we had published, but also the worst one.
3 best lip dubs of the month are:
1. Official Lady Gaga "Alejandro" LipDub Madrid (1 week ago | 50,656 views ).
The lip dub's best thing, apart from Gaga's look or good lip sync, is the dancers' group that reflect work and admiration of these Lady Gaga's devoted fans. , it's September's winner!!
2. Boston College LipDub - September 2010 ( 3 weeks ago | 31,394 views )
When we saw this lip dub 3 weeks ago, we thought it was nice but not enough to be a viral one. We were absolutely wrong because, as you can see, it has raised 31,394 views, that's awesome!!
3. Lip Dub - Maastricht University - SBE 2010 (2 weeks ago | 25,501 views )
This Lip dub was made by students and teachers from Maastricht University School of Business and Economics. It was recorded on June 21st.
The worst lip dub of the month:
From our point of view, we think that CP Valencia 2010 - Lipdub Contigo Is the worst Lip dub of the month because it's blurred and chaotic,it's got poor quality, short duration and low dynamism.
