The BYU-Idaho Lip Dub/Flash mob took place on December 4th 2010. At least several hundred students performed a lib dub that included a flash mob where a large group of people meets in a public place, perform a brief unusual act and then separate. Amazing!!!!!
The purpose of creating the event was to have something to unite the student body for an experience they could remember from their college years and give them the opportunity to meet new people and make friends.
In the lip dub, the singers were walking, dancing and lip syncing backwards, that’s crazy, while everyone else in the video was doing various activities forwards, so that when the video is reversed, the singers are moving going forward. Awesome!!!
The flash mob started out in the crossroads and ended at the Taylor Quad. The lip dub was performed in the John W. Hart and George S. Romney buildings.
The songs used were Justin Bieber featuring Usher “Somebody to Love” for the lip dub and Glee featuring Queen “Somebody to Love” for the flash mob.
We just watched the whole video four times and we’re sure that we’re still missing so much! This video is amazing. This is great! It must have taken some serious planning, coordinating and a lot of rehearsals. You're just so talented to make this awesome video
We love how the first half is backwards and also the big group dance at the end!
You made my day!!!. One of the best Christmas gifts this year. Thanks!!!
